TEXAS-BARBEQUE - GENUINE SLOW SMOKIN'

Hand forged solid steel tools,  made by a Texas blacksmith!

THE  TEXAS  BARBEQUE  BASTING  LOOP

THE  BEST  EVER  MOPPING  TOOL!

Basting a brisket!

Mopping a brisket with the 15 inch basting loop.

Small loops

Simple and elegant.    These loops have nothing to melt and they can be left in the pit with the basting sauce pan!    I like to let the sauce absorb some of the smoke while it stays warm.    Just be sure to grab it with a potholder if it's been in the pit.

These utensils are available nowhere else!    I make them by hand and I've applied for a patent.    The price may go down if I decide to automate but for now these are the original prototypes.    A real collector's item and useful to boot!

Backyard BBQ and kitchen size basting loops are made from 1/4 inch solid steel bar stock,   available in 11, 12, 15, and 18 inch lengths.    They look small in the pictures but they are very effective tools and I have very large hands.    Big pit loops are made from 3/8 inch solid steel bar stock and come in 24 and 30 inch lengths.    All loops come with a baked vegetable oil finish and few mops and lengths of twine to get you started.    Stainless steel loops have a bare finish.

Extra towels and twine are $18 for a pack of 48 quarter size towels and enough twine to tie them,  and $39 for 48 full size towels and twine.     You can get the towels at Sam's or Costco and twine at a restaurant supply store or the butcher.    That's where I get them.

Large loops

Big pit basting loops made from 3/8 inch solid steel bar stock.
Available in 24 and 30 inch lengths.
I use a whole bar towel when basting with one of these,  and I can baste an entire case of chickens or 15 briskets or racks of ribs in a minute.

Stainless steel loops

Stainless steel loops are dishwasher safe and do not require seasoning.    They are approved for commercial use by all health departments.
