SPOONS!
|
|

|
|
The bowl is designed along classic, centuries old lines that serve
well. The handle is fashioned to supply a comfortable and firm
grip and a hanging loop. These spoons are much stouter
than anything I've seen anywhere else. After bending a few store-bought spoons
during a chili cook-off, I decided to make something that would work right!
|
|
It is nearly impossible to get the
handle to twist evenly due to the uneven heating in my forge.
However, this just gives it much more character! Care for your
spoon like you would any good cast iron cookware.

Here's the back of another spoon and an alternate handle style.
The twist is much more even on this one. Note the smooth-filed
weld joint. The steel is about 3/8 inch square where it meets the bowl,
making it a very strong and solid utensil. These spoons are
a joy to use!
